With growing concern within the scientific community towards the effects of climate change from CO2 and the instability of petroleum fuel markets, electric vehicles (EVs) have emerged as a potential solution for ground-based transportation.

These concerns have rapidly changed the focus of the automotive industry as we advance towards more sustainable solutions. The development of electric vehicles brings radical changes in advanced training and manufacturing, supporting charging infrastructure, buying options for the consumer, and material resource procurement through mining and recycling for battery development.
