Leadership Wheeling is proud to introduce the 2024 class of Leadership Wheeling. The applicants were selected to represent different industries and companies across the Ohio Valley who have demonstrated an interest or experience in leadership and a desire to engage in this community.
Mike Howard, Chief Operating Officer for Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce, said that this year’s program “represents a significant change from past years classes with the partnership of LaunchPoint Leadership Group and Ronna-Renee Jackson.”
Ms. Jackson has been commissioned to design and deliver a leadership development program that builds on the legacy of previous programs while introducing new opportunities for personal growth with the participants.
The class will embark on a journey of learning and leadership development across the area. They will visit various locations to learn more about the city history, local government, various industries, arts and culture, and non-profit organizations and partake in leadership development activities designed to enhance personal effectiveness and growth. Participants will receive a curated library of five leadership books, take the “Strength-Finders” assessment, and even have an opportunity to ride along with a police officer. Jackson states, “This year’s program will engage leaders at all levels.”

About Leadership Wheeling:
Leadership Wheeling is a facilitated leadership development program that blends leadership development tools, assessments, exercises and guest speakers with tours of businesses and community organizations, including an overnight trip to the State Capitol. This program will enhance participants’ knowledge of the region and equip participants to be more effective leaders in their own roles. Leadership Wheeling is affiliated with the Wheeling Chamber of Commerce.
