No Kings Rally.
The Ohio County Democratic Women's Club, MOVE, aka Marchers Ohio Valley Empowered and the Jefferson County chapter of the Midwest Center for Constitutional Rights expect record attendance at their NO KINGS march and protest, set for Saturday in Wheeling.

Three local organizations are joining together to welcome participants to what they believe will be the largest local political rally of the past decade.

The Ohio County Democratic Women’s Club, MOVE, aka Marchers Ohio Valley Empowered, and the Jefferson County chapter of the Midwest Center for Constitutional Rights expect record attendance at their NO KINGS march and protest, set for Saturday in Wheeling.

The organizations say their alliance will provide a platform for like minded residents from all parts of the Ohio Valley to be represented. The protest is part of more than two thousand five hundred similar demonstrations to be held around the country, designed to stand up for democratic values and against over reaching power grabs by the current president and his administration.

House Speaker Mike Johnson last week blamed the peaceful NO KINGS Day of Action for the ongoing government shutdown. He called the upcoming rallies, “Hate America.” Midwest Center Chairman Richard Olivito called that absurd and responded that “we’re not the ones showing hatred by cutting food and healthcare programs that patriotic Americans depend on. That would be Speaker Johnson and his colleagues.”

NO KINGS – Ohio Valley will be held Saturday, October 18 at the intersection of National Road and Kruger Street in Wheeling. A march to the protest location will begin at 11:15 am, from the Elm Grove Post Office to the rally site, where the demonstration will start at 11:30 am.

Media coverage of this important event is welcomed and encouraged.
