Miller named President of the WV Association of School Administrators

-

Over the last number of years, Ohio County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Kimberly Miller, has served as the treasurer, secretary, and vice president of the WV Association of School Administrators, also known as WVASA.

Through a nomination process, Miller was recently appointed president of the association.  One of very few female presidents elected as well as one of the first from Ohio County, Miller is thrilled to take on the presidency and provide additional opportunities for students at a statewide level.

“I love what I do.  To be able to take it one step further is an amazing opportunity.  I aim to work together to strengthen our systems,” Miller states.

Dr. Miller plans to focus extensively on professional development opportunities as well as working closely with legislators to make decisions that are best for students.

“Being an administrator can often feel like working on an island.  Opportunities like this allow for collaboration and always benefit our kids.”
