Mountaineer Freedom Alliance Established to Foster Unity and Enhance W.Va. Future

-

Wheeling, WV – The Mountaineer Freedom Alliance, a newly established non-partisan organization, has been launched with the mission of uniting West Virginians in pursuit of a shared objective: fortifying the state’s economy, creating job opportunities, and establishing a future that retains and attracts its residents.

Founded by David H. McKinley, an eighth-generation West Virginian and proprietor of multiple businesses, the Alliance is committed to advancing policies that support business growth, fiscal responsibility, and the traditional values that define West Virginia as an exceptional place to reside and conduct business.

“For an extended period, partisan politics have fostered division rather than fostering unity, diverting our attention from the critical issues that truly matter—job creation, opportunity, and a thriving economy,” stated McKinley.

“The Mountaineer Freedom Alliance stands for solutions rather than ideology. Its primary objective is to enhance West Virginia’s strength for future generations by embracing the unique qualities that characterize our state—our unwavering work ethic, our cherished values, and our pride in our communities.”

The Mountaineer Freedom Alliance advocates for leaders and policies that uphold freedom, faith, and family—values that are fundamental to the Mountain State. The organization’s core principles encompass:

  • Private Property and Business: The cornerstone of personal liberty, job creation, and the development of robust communities.
  • Practicality: A well-functioning democracy prioritizes economic growth over partisan politics.
  • Prudence: Advocacy for low taxes, minimal government intervention, and resistance to policies that compromise the state’s economic stability.
  • Pride: Upholding the people and traditions that have shaped West Virginia’s historical and future trajectory.
  • Personal Responsibility: Emphasis on hard work, humility, and the right to make autonomous decisions without excessive government interference.

McKinley emphasizes that “Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all have a role to play in focusing West Virginians on working together to grow our economy, not being distracted by issues that divide us.” The objective is to establish a future where business and civic leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals, irrespective of their ideological leanings, can collaborate to foster economic growth and prosperity.

By supporting elected officials who prioritize job creation and economic opportunity, the Mountaineer Freedom Alliance seeks to enhance West Virginia’s competitiveness, ensuring that businesses can flourish and residents can establish enduring careers within their own communities.
