WEEKLY FORECAST

Sunday 02/09/2025

A weak Low Pressure system is passing to the South of the Ohio Valley keeping our skies cloudy and our temperatures on the cool side with highs only in the mid 30’s.

Monday 02/10

The Low to our South will still be moving slowly off to the East. This will mean that our skies will continue to be cloudy with temperatures remaining in the mid 30’s. A stronger Low Pressure system will be approaching our area from the Southwest.

Tuesday 02/11

A strong Low Pressure system will pass just South of the Ohio Valley resulting in Snow for locations south of I-70. The heaviest Snow will be South of the Ohio River. Several inches of accumulation could be possible in central and southern West Virginia. If this system tracks slightly further northward it could bring more Snow into southern Ohio and northern West Virginia.

Wednesday 02/12

Lingering Snow Showers and Flurries will be possible behind the Low Pressure system that passed to our South on Tuesday. By late Wednesday another Low will be approaching from the Southwest. This system will likely track further to the North resulting in a mix of Snow, Freezing Rain, and Rain across the Ohio Valley.

Thursday 02/13

The Wintry Mix of precipitation that began on Wednesday will continue into Thursday morning. By Thursday afternoon the precipitation will come to an end. With the winds out of the North, it will get much colder. Temperatures Thursday night will drop into the teens!

Friday 02/14 Valentine’s Day

Friday morning the winds will continue to be out of the North, and so, it will be slow to warm up. High Pressure will be directly over us by Friday afternoon, and so, we may actually see some breaks of sunshine, but it will stay fairly chilly with highs only in the low 30’s.

Saturday 02/15

Another Low Pressure system will move into our area from the West bringing more Wintry precipitation to our area. This could be another mixed bag, with Snow more likely in the North, near Lake Erie, and Freezing Rain and Rain possible in the South, near the Ohio River. The Wintry Mix of precipitation could continue into Sunday morning (02/16)
