Good Afternoon – This is Dr. Kim Miller, OCS Superintendent.  After the WVBE made their motion to return to school, our Recovery Plan is as follows:

Children from PK – 8 will be attending school in-person in a hybrid format during the weeks of January 19 and January 25.  We will be pushing out graphics and specific information about attendance during these weeks through our county and school communication methods.

To participate in the remote learning program, students must enroll.  For families who have not already enrolled by completing the online form, after today, please call the school to initiate enrollment.  The deadline has been extended through Friday, January 22.  Students who are enrolled in the remote learning program will remain with their classroom teachers.

Wheeling Park High School students will follow the WVDHHR map and will not be in-person for learning while in RED.  Beginning January 25, if Ohio County is NOT designated RED, students will be in person in a hybrid model.  Further information will follow from Wheeling Park High School to explain the specifics of the high school plan as we move forward.  Like the elementary and middle schools, students wishing to participate in remote learning at Wheeling Park must call the school to enroll.  Attendance will be required for both in-person and remote learning.

At all levels, we will move to a four-day, in-person learning model as quickly as possible.

Thank you to our many students, families and staff members for reaching out to express their desire to maintain our four-day learning model.
