Join us at Oglebay for a three-day Labor Day celebration beginning Friday, Sept. 3 thru Monday, Sept. 6 featuring live entertainment, fireworks, inflatable rides, Revolutionary War reenactments, a woodcarver show and much more! 

Labor Day festivities will include:

·         Fort Henry Days – From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5 explore an 18th-century living-history encampment showcasing colonial and Native-American cultures located at Site 1 and Levenson Shelter. Don’t miss the acclaimed battle re-enactment of the siege of Fort Henry with young Betty Zane’s heroic run for gunpowder at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

·         Woodcarver’s Show – Witness the work of talented woodcarvers from across the country from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. An impressive showcase of artistic creations will be on display in Wilson Lodge.

·         Americana Skydiving Performance – On Saturday, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. witness an exciting skydiving demonstration over Schenk Lake as expert Americana skydivers drop out of the sky from 12,000 feet above.

·         Music Under the Stars: “Remember When Rock Was Young” The Elton John Tribute presented by the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra – Join us at the Anne Kuchinka Amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5 as the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Devlin, presents a tribute to Elton John featuring vocalist Craig Meyer. Meyer is considered the best Elton John tribute artist in the market, whose strong vocals, striking resemblance and amazing talent on the piano has audiences everywhere remembering when rock was young. This spectacular musical journey celebrates the decades of chart topping hits by Sir Elton John. Concert is free and open to the public. A donation of $15 is suggested.

·         Labor Day Fireworks Extravaganza – Bring a blanket and grab a spot near the amphitheater on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9:30 p.m. for an unforgettable fireworks display. Fireworks will follow the conclusion of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra performance.
