Labor Day Weekend Highlights include:
Fort Henry Days – Living History Comes Alive!
Step into the 18th century with Fort Henry Living History at Levenson Shelter and Camp Russel. This immersive event celebrates colonial and Native-American cultures and runs from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31. Don’t miss the dramatic battle re-enactment featuring Betty Zane’s legendary run—happening at 3 p.m. both days.
Annual Woodcarver’s Show – Art in Action
Watch master woodcarvers from across the country showcase their skill at the Pine Room, presented by the Oglebay Woodcarver’s Guild. Explore one-of-a-kind creations available for purchase Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Americana Skydiving Performance – High-Flying Excitement
On Saturday at 7 p.m., don’t miss an electrifying skydiving show over Schenk Lake as the Americana skydivers freefall from 12,000 feet.
Foam Party & Kids’ Fun Zone – Lakefront Family Fun
Grab your towels and head to Schenk Lake on Saturday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. for a sudsy foam party. Plus, enjoy inflatables, face painting, and nonstop family fun throughout the weekend.
Music Under the Stars – Movie Magic!
Join us on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Oglebay Amphitheater for a special Music Under the Stars performance that pays tribute to the silver screen with an evening of beloved movie scores, performed live by the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. Part of the Sunday Funday Summer Concert Series, this event is generously supported by the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Foundation and Expand Energy.
