Join us at Oglebay for a three-day Labor Day celebration beginning Friday, Sept. 1 through Sunday, Sept. 3. The event will feature live entertainment, fireworks, inflatable rides, Revolutionary War re-enactments, a woodcarver show and so much more!

Here is what you can expect during the Labor Day festivities at Oglebay:

  • Fort Henry Days, presented by Fort Henry Living History: Explore an 18th-century living-history encampment showcasing colonial and Native-American cultures at Levenson Shelter and Camp Russel areas. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3. Don’t miss the acclaimed battle re-enactment of the siege of Fort Henry including Betty Zane’s heroic run for gunpowder at 3 p.m. on both days.
  • Annual Woodcarver’s Show, presented by the Oglebay Woodcarver’s Guild: Witness the work of talented woodcarvers from across the country at Oglebay’s Pine Room from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3. The show will feature carvings of all types, with most available for sale.
  • Americana Skydiving Performance: On Saturday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. experience an exciting skydiving demonstration over Schenk Lake. Watch as expert Americana skydivers drop out of the sky from 12,000 feet above.
  • Foam Party & Kids’ Fun Zone: Stop by Schenk Lake on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a family-friendly foam party! Bathing suits and towels are strongly encouraged. And kids can celebrate all weekend with inflatables and face painting at Schenk Lake. Visit the website for a full list of times.
  • Music Under the Stars: Join us for a special Music Under the Stars event as we celebrate the iconic music of James Bond. The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Devlin, will be performing a selection of Bond hits such as “Skyfall,” “You Only Live Twice,” and the classic James Bond theme song. Adding to the excitement, Canadian musicians Jeans n’ Classics will be joining the orchestra as guests’ artists. Jeans n’ Classics is known for their interpretations of rock and pop music. The concert will take place at Oglebay’s Anne Kuchinka Amphitheater on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m. This outdoor venue provides the perfect setting to enjoy an evening of wonderful music. This event is part of the Sunday Funday Summer Concert Series, which is made possible by the generous support of the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Foundation and SWN.
  • Labor Day Fireworks Extravaganza: On Sunday, Sept. 3, at dusk, gather near Schenk Lake with a blanket and enjoy an unforgettable fireworks display. The fireworks will follow the conclusion of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra performance.
