Oglebay’s 4th Annual Backyard Barbecue Festival a Free Weekend

WHEELING, WV – Oglebay’s highly anticipated 4th Annual Backyard BBQ Festival, presented by The Glessner Group, is set to ignite summer with a sizzling celebration from May 23-25, 2025.

This year’s festival promises a weekend packed with free live music, mouthwatering barbecue, refreshing drinks, pitmaster demonstrations, and a fun-filled kids’ zone.

The music lineup will keep the energy high all weekend long, with highlights including the nation’s top country tribute show, Icons of Country, performing on Saturday, May 24, and a rock-n-roll finale by The Clarks on Sunday, May 25.

Bob Peckenpaugh, President & CEO of the Wheeling Park Commission, shared his excitement, saying, “This signature summer event has something for everyone. We’ve had a blast the past few years, and this year promises to be even better. We’re grateful to The Glessner Group for their generous support in providing this free event for our community.”

Free live music kicks off on Friday, May 23 at 5:00 PM, with performances continuing throughout the weekend. And on Saturday and Sunday, music begins at 11:00 AM. Headliners include Icons of Country, a tribute to country stars like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Miranda Lambert, taking the stage at 7:00 PM on Saturday, and the high-energy The Clarks wrapping up the weekend with their signature rock sound on Sunday at 7:00 PM.
