OGLEBAY WOODCARVERS SHOW 2026
Join us Labor Day Weekend for the Oglebay Woodcarvers Guild’s 47th Annual Carving & Sculpture Show. The show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5th from 10am-5pm and September 6th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Oglebay’s Pine Room.
Talented carvers from many states will join the local carvers as they come together to highlight their artistic creations. will display a wide variety of beautiful wood carvings, from birds to caricatures of people and animals, dragons, and white-bearded Santa with his helpful elves. Most carvings will be presented for sale.
Each visitor will receive a free raffle ticket upon entry, offering a chance to win a unique, locally produced wood carving. The drawings will be held every hour, and the winner must be present to claim their prize.
A special raffle with top prizes is offered for those willing to buy a chance on a five-day use of a deluxe cabin in Oglebay Park. There are also two 2nd prizes of $100.00 Oglebay Park gift cards and three prizes of gift cards worth $50.00. Drawings will be held after the carving show on Sunday, September 6. Winners need not be present. Funds from the raffle along with donations support 11 local community soup kitchens.
The Pine Room at Oglebay’s Crispin Center, is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone.
The Oglebay Woodcarvers Guild is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the art of woodcarving through instruction, exhibitions, and demonstrations. Membership is drawn from the tri-state region of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The club meets twice weekly (Monday evening and Thursday morning) for carving sessions in the Stifel Fine Arts Center on National Road, Wheeling, WV.
First-time visitors traveling from east or west should exit I-70 at the Oglebay exit, then take National Road to WV Route 88 and follow the posted signs to Oglebay Park. Follow the Woodcarvers signs inside the Park to the Crispen Center Pine Room.
