One Death, 16 New Positives Reported in Marshall, Ohio Counties

Marshall County:

The Marshall County Health Department received confirmation of 8 new positive and 9 new probable cases.  These cases are from April 27 and 28, 2021.  The Health Department continues to work on investigations and contact tracing for current active cases.

Ohio County:

The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department is announcing one (1) COVID-19 associated deaths for 4/28/21.

Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department is announcing eight (8) new cases of COVID-19 for 4/28/21 in Ohio County.  Currently, the health department reports a total of 4300 cases, including eighty-five (85) deaths. Case surveillance, contact tracing, and monitoring continue for many of the reported cases.    Two (2) new cases of the COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7, or more commonly referred to as the UK Variant, have been identified in Ohio County as of 4/28/21.  A total of thirty (30) cases have been identified in Ohio County as of 4/28/21.

The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will hold free COVID-19 testing clinics on Monday, April 26, 2021, and Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

The free clinics are for those with or without symptoms and no insurance is needed. Participants need to bring a driver’s license, photo ID or other proof of address. No residency restrictions.  Patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a drive-up testing clinic and participants will be tested either in their personal vehicles or at a walk-up location near the testing sites.  This special clinic is being hosted by the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department and the Wheeling-Ohio County Emergency Management Agency. COVID Vaccination Clinics   

April 26 – April 30, 2021, COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics (subject to change due to supply).  Clinics are 8:00am -4:00pm each day.  1st dose and 2nd dose vaccines available.  Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines are available.  Walk-ins welcomed. 

  • 4/26/21 – Eligible and registered residents, by appointment/walk-in.  
  • 4/27/21 – Eligible and registered residents, by appointment/walk-in.  
  • 4/28/21 – Eligible and registered residents, by appointment/walk-in. 
  • 4/29/21 – Eligible and registered residents, by appointment/walk-in.

  • 5/1/21 – NO CLINIC.
  • 5/2/21 – NO CLINIC.
