Waterhouse secures the second-quarter pass. The drive later stalled on a turnover. Central’s Watkins shows the only way to bring down Payne is to go low.
Vinnie High jumps the snap and gets a hit on Cook before he’s able to hand off to Payne deep inside the Central red zone. High’s hit forced a fumble that prevent a Poca touchdown.
Toepfer alertly scooped up the fumble and rumbled ahead before being tackled. Marling rolls to his left and looks for an open receiver before ultimately running for a decent gain in the second half.
