While serving as Chief Financial Officer then Director at BCDJFS, he negotiated six union contracts successfully and made sure that union workers received a fair wage and annual increases in pay. He believes in self-sufficiency and the one way he made sure it occurred was by being a staunch advocate for his union workers. He said, “I never looked at management and union as being separate. As a leader, I was only as good as those that worked for and with me. I valued each and every worker at the BCDJFS. They were hard and dedicated workers to the citizens of Belmont County, and I made sure they were awarded for their efforts. The best way to express that was with great wages and benefits.”

He resides in Colerain with his wife, Patti, and their two children, Gabriella and Zac.
