Search Warrants Result in Drug-Related Arrest in Belmont County

On July 1, 2026, deputies from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit and Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission executed two search warrants in Bethesda, Ohio.

The search warrants were for 609 Rice Street and 319 S. Main Street Lot 7 in Bethesda, Ohio, and 36-year-old James Phillips of Bethesda, Ohio, was arrested on six drug-related charges and booked into the Belmont County Jail on a $35,750.00 bond.

Sheriff James Zusack stated this is part of a continued effort to combat drug complaints in the western part of Belmont County.

Sheriff Zusack would also like to thank the Jefferson County Drug Task Force for their assistance in this case.
