Southwestern Energy Helps Protect Ohio County Schools Students

-

A Southwestern Energy representative presented Ohio County Schools administrators with a generous and important donation on Monday.

Ohio County Schools Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Miller and Administrator of Operations David Crumm welcomed Southwestern Energy Community Relations Manager Amy Dobkin who presented them with more than 600 masks to protect students from Covid-19. Dobkin said Southwestern energy is donating 10,000 masks to 16 school systems in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

“We are very happy to support teachers and students in the areas in which we are privileged to operate,” Dobkin said. “Our intention is for the masks to be an extra resource for students who may lose a mask or need a replacement for any reason.”

In-school learning will begin Sept. 8 in Ohio County Schools. Miller said she was thrilled to accept the donation, which she believes will be valuable.

“We care about the safety of our students and staff members, and it’s wonderful that community partners like Southwestern energy do as well,” Miller said. “We appreciate businesses and organizations that help us protect them, and we can’t wait to greet our students next week.”
