Special St. Clairsville Utility Meeting Set for 3 p.m.

Council President Jim Velas wishes to remind the public that a Special City Council Utility Committee meeting will take place on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3:00 P.M.  This meeting will be conducted in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of the City’s Municipal Building (100 North Market Street).  As a result of this special committee meeting, the June 6 regularly scheduled Utility Committee meeting is being cancelled.

President Velas also announces that the second City Council meeting this month will be held on Tuesday, June 21.  This change is needed due to the new federal holiday, Juneteenth (also known as “Emancipation Day” or the “Day of Freedom”), which falls on June 19; since the 19th is a Sunday this year, the federal holiday will be observed on the following day, Monday, June 20.  President Velas also would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that the new meeting time for the full City Council meeting is 7:00 P. M.

In addition to the full City Council meeting being moved to Tuesday, June 21, the Finance Committee will meet on June 21 as well.  This committee meeting will be held in the City Council Chamber and will begin at 6:15 P. M. If questions, please call the City Council Clerk, Jacob DeBertrand, on 740-695-1324.
