A number of state-funded roadway projects have been scheduled in Ohio County, including:
The Interstate 70 westbound right lane, in Wheeling, will be closed, from milepost 8.0 to milepost 6.0, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., beginning on Monday, October 27, 2025, through Wednesday, October 29, 2025, for ditching. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.
Also, County Route 29 (Dixon Run Road), in Valley Grove, will be closed, from milepost 1.09 to milepost 1.11, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning Tuesday, October 28, 2025, through Friday, November 28, 2025, for a slip repair. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Use County Route 8 (Chapel Hill Road) or US 40.
Plus, A portion of County Route 23 (Stone Church Road), in Elm Grove, will be restricted to lane, from milepost 0.0 to milepost 3.25, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning Monday, October 27, 2025, through Friday, October 31, 2025, for road repairs. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.
