Guests: Wheeling Fire Chief Larry Helms, United Way Executive Director Jessica Rine, Former Wheeling Council Member Don Atkinson

Wheeling Fire Chief Larry Helms is scheduled to join me to discuss a number of topics, including the department’s free smoke detector initiative, a few springtime pieces of advice for fire prevention, the impact of former fire chief Sligar, and an update on the location of the new fire department headquarters.

How much did the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley raise in its “Match Madness” partnership with Bordas & Bordas? Executive Director Jessica Rine is scheduled to offer the final total raised as well as information on the non-profit’s events set for this summer.

Former Wheeling council member Don Atkinson returns for our monthly segment about the state of the city, the progress that’s been made the past few weeks, and what we both hope to see take place in Wheeling during the rest of the year.
