Martins Ferry has been waiting since this summer for nearly $650,000 in new water meters to arrive. The city received word, and a tracking number, recently as 285 of that order is on the way. It's a far cry from the full order, but Mayor John Davies admitted it's a start.
The City of Martins Ferry will soon begin assuming operating control over the rec center. Village Council approved funding to get the ball rolling for upgrades and facility improvements.
