According to scanner communication between Ohio County 911 dispatchers and first responders, crews were first released before 8:30 p.m. last night from the scene of the massive fire, but the Ladder 1 and Ladder 6 companies remained to continue efforts to completely extinguished the blaze. Once maintained, a skeleton crew remained on scene.
Ozzie Hyde is the general manager and Christine Thomas serves as the eatery’s marketing manager, and for Thanksgiving they, along with The Lube’s staff, offered a free buffet for military veterans, active personnel, and first responders.
It is an investigation never before conducted by a law enforcement agency in the Upper Ohio Valley, and that is one reason why the ongoing process is nearing two weeks in length.
