Third Arrest Made in Last Week’s North Park Shooting

Wheeling Police have arrested and charged a third person involved in a shooting that took place at the North Park Apartments on August 7.

Kieviontai L. Saunders, 19 of Wheeling turned himself in to the police Friday morning. He is charged with one count of malicious wounding and one count of attempted malicious wounding. 

Saunders was arraigned by an Ohio County Magistrate late this morning and currently is in the Northern Regional Jail. His bond was set at $100,000 cash only.

Two others involved in the incident were criminally charged last week. Dashae R. Young, 18, of Wheeling was charged with one count of malicious wounding, and 19-year-old Tanya N. Park of Wheeling was charged with possession with intent to deliver.

The victim remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.
