Lane Closures on US 22, Veterans Memorial Bridge, Eastbound and Westbound, to Begin on Thursday, October 22, 2026
Brooke County, WV – A portion of US 22, eastbound and westbound on the Veterans Memorial Bridge will have both the eastbound and westbound lanes closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026; and 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026; and on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for cable replacements.
The closures will be at night to minimize the impact on the traveling public. Motorists are advised to follow detour signs and use an alternate route.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated.
Alternate Routes: Northbound traffic use US 30 to East Liverpool, Ohio / Chester, WV, using the Jennings-Randolph Bridge, to WV 2 and Ohio 7. Southbound traffic use Ohio 7 and WV 2 to Brilliant, Ohio and Wellsburg WV onto the Wellsburg Bridge.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
