Trinity Health System is excited to announce the Inaugural Trinity Health System Cardiovascular Symposium for Primary Care Practitioners, Advanced Practice Providers, and Allied Health Professionals.

It will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at the AC Hotel by Marriott Pittsburgh Southpointe, 1500 Main Street, in Canonsburg, Penn.

The symposium will feature national speakers presenting on various aspects of cardiovascular care.

“The goal of the symposium is to provide education on advances in cardiovascular care to all healthcare providers in our community,” Kelly Bettem, director of the Trinity Health System CV Service Line, said. “We are blessed to have both nationally recognized and our local talented physicians and professionals provide education that is open to all primary care and allied health professionals.”

The Learning Objectives for the day are as follows:

  1. To understand important aspects of the ECHO scan as a primary care provider and allied health professional.
  2. To educate providers on Biomarkers; new Heart Failure medications; Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy; Cardiogenic Shock SCAI updates; SCAD and MINOCA and how to define both; Peri-operative oral medication management; Myocarditis updates; and Structural Heart procedures.
  3. To understand the patient’s journey through the healthcare system and how providers can improve their experience.

“Because the event is open to all hospitals and healthcare systems, it also offers providers the chance to socialize and benefit from learning together in a positive and proactive environment,” Bettem said.

Registration for The Inaugural Trinity Health System Cardiovascular Symposium is $50. Deadline for registering is Wednesday, Feb. 8. Attendees will receive six CME/CEUs.

Meals will be provided.
