W.Va. Schools Closed Indefinitely

Governor Jim Justice has closed schools until it is “safe”. W.Va. is one of few states that has not had a positive case of Coronavirus. Saying “It has to be here,” Governor Justice spoke about being proactive to stem the tide of the virus. Part of the decision was based on the fact that W.Va. has an elderly population as well as many of W.Va. teachers are also in that age range that is most at risk.

On Thursday, the Governor issued an out-of-state travel ban for state employees conducting state business. State government offices are also to avoid holding large gatherings and meetings to prevent the spread of the virus known as COVID-19.
