WHEELING, W.Va. – Beam transport for the Washington Avenue Bridge project scheduled for this evening has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The delivery will now take place on Wednesday between 8-9 a.m. Evening transports will resume Thursday at 8 p.m. and continue nightly through Friday.
Trucks will back down Washington Avenue from the westbound Interstate 70 exit ramp to the site, with flaggers assisting traffic. Drivers should expect delays and plan ahead. The project remains on track for an October completion.
