The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce has kicked off its Leadership Wheeling class of 2024. As this program takes time to educate participants about the community, one priority is to expose members of this cohort to the variety of non-profits in the Ohio Valley area and what people can do for these organizations. To accomplish this, the Wheeling Area Chamber is holding a “Non-Profit Day” on Tuesday, February 13th, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at The Highlands Event Center.
This event’s purpose is to give non-profits an opportunity to showcase what they do, why they do it, and how the community can rally behind them and help their missions. This event is open to the public, and all non-profit organizations are encouraged to register at www.wheelingchamber.com to be a part of this event. Continental breakfast will be provided on this day, and Leadership Wheeling participants will be encouraged to bring needed items that non-profits list on their application. This event is sponsored by the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley.
Non-profits can find the “Non-Profit Day” application on the Chamber website under the “events” tab and under the Non-Profit Day “admission details.” Applications are due by Friday, February 9th, via email or mail. Attendees can register on the Chamber website for free. The Chamber thanks all participants in advance for helping us educate and grow the future and current leaders of the Ohio Valley.
