Wheeling City Pools Prepare to Close for the Season

WHEELING, W.Va. – As the summer season starts to wind down, the City of Wheeling has announced the end-of-season schedule for its municipal pools. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the remaining days of swimming and sunshine before the pools officially close for the year.

The final operating days for the City pools are as follows:

  • Bridge Park Pool: final day of operation is Wednesday, Aug. 6
  • 36th Street Pool: final day of operation is Sunday, Aug. 10
  • Grandview Pool: final day of operation is Sunday, Aug. 10
  • Garden Park Pool: will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 10, but will re-open on Monday, Aug. 11 for an extended season through Sunday, Aug. 24

“We’ve had a great summer at our city pools, and we thank our staff and residents for making it another successful season,” said Director of Parks & Recreation Rochelle Barry. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of these last few weeks and make some final summer memories.”
