Wheeling Fire Department Reports on House Fire in Warwood

The Wheeling Fire Department responded to a fully involved house fire in the 400 block of Highland Avenue in the Warwood neighborhood around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 30.

Firefighters were dispatched after a 911 call reported the fire. Heavy flames and smoke were visible when crews arrived. Crew were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported. The home is considered a total loss.

Warwood Avenue was temporarily restricted while firefighters worked at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
