Wheeling Fire Hydrant Inspections to Begin on July 14

-

WHEELING, W.Va. – Starting Monday, July 14, the Wheeling Fire Department will begin fire hydrant inspections in the Warwood neighborhood. Inspections will take place Monday through Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. No testing will occur on weekends.

During this process, residents may notice discolored water due to sediment being stirred up in the lines. If this happens, it is recommended to run cold water until it clears before use.

These annual inspections are a proactive effort to ensure that hydrants and water lines are functioning properly and are free of leaks.

Once inspections in the Warwood area are complete, the Fire Department will continue work in other neighborhoods, which will be announced at a later date.
