Wheeling Ironworkers Local 549 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC), in partnership with PROJECT BEST, will host a Welding Competition for high school welding students from across the Upper Ohio Valley.

Details
Top welding students from several regional high schools and vocational schools will compete in a head-to-head skills challenge, showcasing their technical talent and training. Each participating school has selected its two best student welders to represent them in this exciting event.

The competition is designed to highlight the next generation of skilled trades workers and encourage careers in welding and ironworking. It also offers students a chance to gain recognition and explore future opportunities within the trades.

Ironworkers Local 549 is committed to developing a strong, skilled workforce through its Apprenticeship Program, which prepares individuals for rewarding careers as certified ironworkers.
