WHEELING, W.Va. – Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack today announced the second annual Independence Day Fun Festival, on Saturday, July 5 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival, sponsored by Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration and Bud Light, will be held on-site and feature live entertainment, family-friendly activities, live racing, giveaways and an array of food trucks.
“We are thrilled to welcome everyone to Wheeling Island for the second annual Independence Day Fun Festival,” said Kim Florence, president and general manager. “This event truly has something for everyone to enjoy, from live music to an amazing fireworks finale, as we come together to celebrate the spirit of our nation.”

- 1 p.m. – DJ Daner: Kick off the festival with a mix of high-energy beats and crowd favorites.
- 2:30 p.m. – Pocket Change: Keep the fun going with a lively and dynamic performance.
- 5 p.m. – MSM – Miller Smith & Mazure: An unforgettable set from this talented trio.
- 7:30 p.m. – Shelley Duff Band: End the evening with an electrifying live show, leading into the fireworks finale.
- Live Racing: Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss the action as live racing kicks off at 3 p.m.
- Delicious Food and Drinks: With over 14 food trucks, guests can enjoy an incredible variety of culinary delights. Attendees can earn and use Truck Bucks, which can be redeemed for food at the food trucks or used inside the casino.
- Exciting Giveaways and Prizes: The casino will be hosting giveaways throughout the day, featuring exclusive merchandise, souvenir cups, free play, and more.
