Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack on Oct. 11-13, will welcome the fourth annual Resurrection Island Tattoo Convention, hosted in partnership with Breaking Skin Tattoo and Body Piercing of Bridgeport, Ohio.
The event will feature more than 150 tattoo artists from across the United States, as well as an array of vendors, activities and live entertainment.
Event highlights:
- Ink Masters: Many artists will be tattooing live throughout the weekend with walk-up availability, while others may require a consultation and appointment. All attending artists are listed on the event website along with samples of their work.
- Experience the thrill of live entertainment featuring an exciting lineup:
- Friday – local favorite Tongue N’Cheek
- Saturday – metal band NeverWake
- Sunday – hard rock band Theriaca
- Friday-Sunday – live entertainers including suspension artists, burlesque performers and the World’s Most Tattooed Man
The Resurrection Island Tattoo Convention will take place from noon to midnight on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct.12, and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. Weekend passes and discounted day wristbands are available for purchase on the convention website.
“Our goal through this convention is to bring open-minded individuals together to express their creativity and individuality, whether it’s giving or receiving tattoos or just stepping their foot in the door for the first time to see what the tattoo community is really like,” said Lexie Lopez, Resurrection Island Tattoo Convention coordinator. “Most importantly, we hope to show the positives impacts that have been made and genuine people within our community.”
The Wheeling Island Casino-Hotel-Racetrack is giving away five $500 gift cards to Breaking Skin Tattoo & Body Piercing. Starting Sunday, October 6th through October 12th, players can earn 100 base points in slots/table games for each entry for a chance to win. Sunday – Thursday players can earn up to 3 entries daily. Friday and Saturday 1 entry can be earned daily. Drawing is Saturday, October 12 at 11 p.m.
