Students and staff members at Wheeling Park High School want potential students and their parents to “See What it’s All About.”
“All About Park,” and the Wheeling Park Career and Technical Education Open House will be held 5-8 p.m. on Feb. 24, at Wheeling Park High School. Students with last names beginning with A-L are invited to attend from 5-6:30 p.m., and students with last names beginning with M-Z are invited to attend 6:30-8 p.m. Students attending the event will be limited to three tickets for entry. Students of private and parochial schools are also invited to attend, and they are asked to follow the same guidelines as students of Ohio County Schools.
“All About Park” is an opportunity for Ohio County Schools eighth graders, private and parochial school students and parents to see the amazing opportunities available for students of Wheeling Park High School. Principal Meredith Dailer said Park’s excellent academic, career and technical, fine and performing arts programs and athletic and extracurricular events will be on display during the event.
“Young people discover what they are passionate about at Wheeling Park,” Dailer said. “‘All About Park’ and the CTE Open House are an introduction into the amazing programs that they can be a part of here. We hold “All About Park” every year because we are proud of what we are able to offer, and we can’t wait for incoming students, potential students, parents and community members to take a close look at it. There’s something for everyone at Wheeling Park High School because we offer the finest programs in West Virginia.”
“All About Park” is held in conjunction with “Career and Technical Education Month.” Park’s career and tech students will be giving demonstrations in the their simulated workplaces during the event.
