Wheeling Police detectives are conducting a death investigation after a man’s body was discovered inside an abandoned home in the 4200 block of Jacob Street in South Wheeling.
Police were called to the area just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after a demolition crew on the premises located a body in the basement area.
The body will be taken to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification and a determination of death.
