Wheeling Police Investigating Shots Fire Reports

Wheeling Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened on Wheeling Island Wednesday evening. Police were called to the 500 block of South Huron Street around 7:30 p.m.

No one was injured, but a house was struck by the gunfire. Police interviewed several individuals in the area, and believe the shots were fired between two groups of people on South Wabash Street. Detectives collected numerous shell casings on the street and are continuing their work to identify the suspects responsible.
