Graduate programs are growing at West Liberty University and with it are more events that add to student success.

“We are grateful for our graduate students and know that many of them are juggling jobs and duties at home. We want to show our support and have planned a few fun events to show our support,” said Dean of Graduate Studies Sherri Theaker.

Appreciation Week events include:

  • 5:30-7:30 pm, Monday April 3: Graduate Student Appreciation Night at the Dirty Dog Tavern, locate in the town of West Liberty. Enjoy free food and drinks on a first come, first serve basis. 
  • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., April 4: Treats in Shotwell Hall. Stop by the Office of Graduate Studies and enjoy a treat and take a moment to order Grad School merchandise, sponsored by the Topper Association of Graduate Students (TAGS). 
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., April 5: The Mason Dixon BBQ Company Food Truck will be on the and a percentage of the proceeds will be given back to TAGS as a fundraiser. 
  • Noon – 1 p.m., April 5, the Grad Fair takes place in the Ballroom of the College Union. Stop by, say hello to the program directors, and get information you may need. 
  • All Day, April 5 is also WLU Foundation’s Topper Day of Giving. Please consider a gift to the Office of Graduate Studies. 
  • 8 a.m. – noon, April 6: The 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Generations Restaurant & Pub! Keep your eye out for those Easter Eggs on the Quad in the morning that will contain prize slips, then cash in and pick up the prize in the Office of Graduate Studies from noon -1 p.m. (One egg per student with Topper ID). 
  • April 7: No classes due to campus Holiday. 

Graduate degree programs at West Liberty University emphasize the student experience and provide a caring, quality and affordable college experience. Both online and in-seat options exist.

Master degree programs include the Master of Arts in Education, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Master of Science and Master of Arts in Biology, Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, Master of Science in Criminology, the MBA, the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene, the Master of Science in Speech and Hearing and the Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling degrees.

WLU also has a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management, a 15-credit hour program, for individuals who wish to advance their professional knowledge and skills in the field of healthcare.
