WLU to Stage Active Shooter Drill This Week

What:  Active Shooter Drill (Simulation ONLY)

When: 2 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022

Where: WLU Main Campus, West Liberty, WV

More: West Liberty University is proud to offer a safe, friendly environment for our students and employees. Therefore, in an effort to continue to prepare for critical incidents that may occur on today’s college campuses, West Liberty University is planning an Active Shooter Drill that will include the real time response of local safety agencies and first responders.

This Active Shooter Drill is designed for practice ONLY and involves no real danger or threat to campus. It has been planned and coordinated with the assistance of the following:   

·      Ohio County Sheriff Office

·      Ohio County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency

·      West Liberty Fire Department

·      West Liberty University Police Department

·      West Liberty University’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT)
