Wheeling Heritage recently received the largest grant in our organization’s history –  and it will all go directly towards supporting redevelopment projects in our community

The Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grants, awarded by the National Park Service, granted a total of $7.5 million to 11 recipients in 10 states to support the preservation of historic buildings in rural communities across the country. Of the 11 recipients, two were awarded to West Virginia organizations.

This $750,000 grant will allow our organization to establish a Historic Revitalization Subgrant Program that will provide funding for rehabilitation and restoration activities at contributing structures in Wheeling’s 12 historic districts.

We are honored that the National Park Service recognizes Wheeling’s potential and our organization’s ability to revitalize our community through this subgrant program.
