WPD Investigating South Wheeling Shooting

Wheeling Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon in South Wheeling.

Around 2:45 p.m., police were called to 29th Street for reported gunshots and two vehicles leaving the area.

Officers were able to talk with the driver of one vehicle who took the victim to Wheeling Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect, driving the second vehicle, is described as a white male, driving a dark-colored Chevy Cruze, unknown year. Witnesses told police the car was traveling south and had a tapped passenger side window and possible front-end damage.

If the public has any information, they are urged to call Wheeling Police at 304-234-3664.
