Toriseva Files for Candidacy for District 4 in House of Delegates Race

-

Wheeling attorney Teresa Toriseva has filed to run for West Virginia House of Delegates for the newly created 4th District. The new district encompasses much of Ohio County. The filing was completed by mail from the Elm Grove Post Office on Friday.

Teresa was born, raised, and educated in West Virginia, growing up in Cameron and graduating with summa cum laude from Wheeling Jesuit University, and from the WVU College of Law with both Order of the Coif and Order of the Barrister, an academic combination rarely achieved. Her Jesuit years found her on academic scholarship while working multiple jobs to make all the ends meet. This taught her the resiliency that served her so well at WVU Law where she was a highly decorated graduate.

After law school, she spent ten years practicing law and helping people in Charleston courtrooms before moving back to Wheeling where she raised her family and started her own law firm, Toriseva Law. Both her home and her law firm are separately located in District 4. Ms. Toriseva has been intentional in building a law firm that protects the rights of workers, landowners, and others who fight against abuse of power in any form.

Teresa said “I am motivated to run for House by my love of the Northern Panhandle and I am dedicated to this place as a business owner, a property owner, a parent, and a citizen. As part of my campaign, in addition to visiting people where they live, I will visit every business in the District to hear about their successes and discuss their needs.”

Look for more to come in the coming days and weeks at www.toriseva4house.com. She encourages everyone to make sure they are properly registered to vote in time for the primary election on May 10, 2022.
