The Chris Miller for Governor campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of legendary West Virginia University basketball coach Bob Huggins.

A West Virginia native and WVU alumnus, Huggins secured 935 collegiate victories over the course of his Hall of Fame career, including 345 wins in his 16 years as the head coach of the Mountaineers.

“I know what it takes to win here in West Virginia, and Chris Miller is cut from the same cloth,” said Huggins. “Chris Miller’s drive to secure the future for West Virginia is like a fullcourt press – relentless and unstoppable. It’s time for a leader who knows how to take the punches and keep fighting for the West Virginians. I’m proud to endorse Chris Miller for Governor because I know he’s got the determination and the grit to lead West Virginia forward.”

A native of Morgantown, Huggins has had an illustrious basketball career beginning as a player for WVU, where he earned recognition as a two-time Academic All American. Upon graduation, Huggins embarked on a coaching journey that eventually brought him back to his alma mater as head coach. Under his leadership, WVU experienced unprecedented success, including multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and a memorable run to the Final Four in 2010, solidifying his status as one of the most successful coaches in Mountaineer history.

Miller expressed gratitude for Coach Huggins’ support, saying, “I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Coach Bob Huggins, a true West Virginia icon. Coach Huggins knows what it means to be a Mountaineer, and I am humbled to have his support as we fight to take on the good old boys club in Charleston and deliver victories for West Virginians.”
