Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is excited to announce a unique Man v. Food event featuring Casey Webb, the dynamic host of the popular Food Network show of the same name. The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the casino’s newly enhanced buffet.

Webb, known for his humor and high-spirited commentary, will provide live narration as five teams participate in an epic Man v. Food-style eating challenge and attempt to finish 9.2 pounds of food per contestant in 20 minutes for a total of over 27 pounds per team. This amount represents a 4-ounce sample of each item from the buffet’s diverse offerings, including fresh seafood, hand-carved meats, made-to-order pasta and decadent desserts.

The teams will be composed of representatives from the Wheeling Nailers hockey team, Wheeling Miners arena football team, Wheeling Fire Department, the Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration team and buffet guests, selected from interested attendees at the event.

An Event Like No Other

The Man v. Food challenge highlights Wheeling Island’s new buffet, curated by Executive Chef John Greenwald. This expansive buffet features a range of cuisines and chef-crafted dishes designed to appeal to every palate.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Casey Webb and the competing teams for this exclusive event,” said Kim Florence, president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. “This challenge is a celebration of our new buffet’s launch and our commitment to offering guests a top-tier dining experience, paired with an unforgettable night of fun and excitement.”
