Join Councilor Thorngate and Council Members for Inaugural PODA Walk

-

WHEELING, W.Va. – Help us celebrate the launch of Wheeling’s new Public Outdoor Designated Area (PODA) at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 16. The inaugural walk will begin at Bridge Tavern & Grill, 950 Main Street, and conclude at River City Restaurant, 1400 Main Street.

Councilor Ty Thorngate, who played a key role in the creation of PODA legislation, will be on hand along with other members of City Council to mark this exciting amusement and hospitality amenity in our central business district.

During PODA hours, guests can enjoy a to-go beverage in an official PODA cup—a clear cup featuring the PODA logo—while strolling through Downtown and Centre Market.

Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

For details on the City’s PODA, please visit https://www.wheelingwv.gov/PODA.
