Ohio County Schools to Present Annual Celebration of the Arts

Ohio County Schools is hosting its annual “Celebration of the Arts.”  The event is scheduled to take place at Wheeling Park High School on Thursday, March 25th, from 4:30-7 p.m..  “March is both Youth Art Month and Music in our Schools Month, and this is the perfect opportunity to share something that is so unique to Ohio County Schools,” explained Karin Butyn, director of Public Relations for the school district.

From 4:30-5 p.m., a quieter environment will be available, and from 5-7 p.m., music will play live both in the foyer and Patriot Point by various performers and groupings including 5th-grade county chorus, solo and ensemble performers, and steel band.

Every elementary, middle, and high school program will have art displays.  In addition to artwork, there will be many opportunities to hear live music and performances.

“In Ohio County Schools, we believe in the arts.  We want our students of all ages to be celebrated for their creativity and know they are in a school environment countywide that encourages such,” adds Butyn.

This event is open to the community and our OCS families.
