WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. —West Liberty University will host the West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals (ICA) for an on-campus session on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. The session will take place in the Elbin Auditorium of College Hall, with lunch following in the College Union Ballroom.
The court will hear oral arguments in four cases that morning. The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend.
“We are honored to host the Intermediate Court of Appeals,” said Dr. Tim Borchers, President of West Liberty University. “This will be a great opportunity not only for our students but for high school students and community members to see how the legal process works.”
“Through ICA On-Campus, we are proud to bring the appellate process directly to students at West Liberty University, making the law more visible, more accessible, and more real,” said Chief Judge Dan Greear.
“With applicability being a key component of our students’ education, it is important that they be exposed to real-life circumstances that allow them to further understand how theories they are being taught in the classroom are applied,” said Dr. Martin White, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at West Liberty.
