Wheeling Police Searching for Suspect in Malicious Wounding Case

Wheeling Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect involved in a malicious wounding on Wednesday evening.

Police have filed charges against 40-year-old Gary Jerome Hackathorn, Jr. of Wheeling with one count of malicious wounding.

The stabbing occurred around 6 p.m. yesterday in the 2300 block of Market Street. The victim was transported to Wheeling Hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
