Marshall County, WV — On June 22, 2026, at approximately 10:04 a.m., the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was notified by OnStar crash detection of a single-vehicle accident with airbag deployment in the area of Lindsay Lane Road. Deputies responded promptly and located the vehicle, which had crashed in the rear of a residence at 1008 Lindsay Lane Road.
A Deputy made contact with the driver and immediately began providing first aid for a severe laceration to his forehead, the driver also reported chest pain at the scene. Due to adverse weather conditions, a request for a medical helicopter was declined. Marshall County EMS personnel arrived and assumed care, subsequently transporting by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle, a 2026 GMC Sierra, departed from the driver’s residence on Spring Drive and traveled a significant distance through multiple yards before ultimately striking the rear of the home at 1008 Lindsay Lane Road.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Braden’s Towing. The impacted residence suffered substantial structural damage to its rear wall, with additional interior damage resulting from both the collision and subsequent water line ruptures.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
