The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County (PLSJ) will host the US premiere screening of an Italian film with ties to the Ohio Valley. ”The Value of Life” will be screened for the public at PLSJ on August 6th at 5:30 pm.
The movie was written and produced by film veteran Salvatore Pate in Belmonte Calabro, Italy, and will be presented by his son, Carmine Pate of Steubenville, in cooperation with PLSJ. Salvatore Pate has spent decades in the film industry, with his first acting role coming in the classic film, “The Godfather.” His latest project, “The Value of Life,” tells the story of a man whose life is transformed by dramatic events that challenge his faith and values. This is the second film produced by Pate, who also composed the movie’s original songs.
The free screening will be held at the downtown branch of PLSJ on South 4th Street in Steubenville.
Seating is limited to 50 people, so please RSVP to reserve your seat by contacting the library in person or by calling (740) 282-9782. Media coverage is welcome, along with pre-interviews. Carmine Pate also will offer a short presentation on his father’s career and a brief history on the film’s production before the movie begins.
